Hello World — Welcome to Prompt and Tokens
If you're reading this, you've stumbled onto the very first post on Prompt and Tokens — so, hello, and thanks for being here.
It feels fitting to launch this on July 4, 2026 — America's 250th birthday. Two hundred fifty years of reinventing itself, and here we are in the middle of another reinvention: how we work, create, and think alongside AI. Seemed like as good a day as any to start something new.
What this blog is about
AI tools are changing fast, and it's easy to feel like you're always a step behind — a new model drops, a new feature ships, and suddenly everyone's talking about something you haven't tried yet. This blog is my attempt to slow that down a little and make it practical.
Here's what you can expect to find here:
- Hands-on guides for AI tools like Claude, Gemini, NotebookLM, ChatGPT and Microsoft Copilot
- Everyday app tutorials — the kind of "how do I actually do this in Calendar/Notes/Power Platform" posts I wish existed when I needed them
- Prompt examples you can copy, adapt, and actually use
- News and takes on what's happening in AI and tech, minus the hype
Why "Prompt and Tokens"
Prompts are how we talk to AI. Tokens are how AI reads what we say. This blog sits right at that intersection — the practical, everyday layer between "AI is powerful" and "here's exactly how to use it."
Where this is headed
I'll be honest — I'm starting broad on purpose. Over the next few months, I'll be writing across all of the topics above and paying attention to what's actually useful to readers. Wherever that leads, this blog will follow.
If there's a tool, app, or AI workflow you're curious about, drop a comment — future posts are very much shaped by what people actually want to know.
Thanks for stopping by. Let's get into it.
